It Would Be A Bargain At Twice The Price

There is something a bit vulgar about today's eruptions about the cost of the Afghan mission to the Canadian treasury. Here we are, one of the richest countries on earth, and we're bellyaching about spending pennies a day to help one of the poorest nations on earth? Afghans deserve better than this, Canadians deserve better, and we should be honoured to have the chance to help heal the wounds that have been infllicted upon Afghanistan and its brilliant, resourceful, wonderful people.
