The Canada Afghanistan Solidarity Committee extends its solidarity and wishes of hope and strength to the people of Tibet, and to people throughout China who continue to face unspeakable human rights violations by the Chinese regime. We are hopeful that the Olympic Games will serve as an opportunity to expose and highlight the urgent need to bring pressure on the Chinese government to respect human rights throughout the country and to recognize the rights of the Tibetan people.
